Our Kindergarten “Q” and “U” Wedding!

This past week we reviewed letters "Q" and "U"!

We heard the story of Princess Q (who made no sound) and Prince U, who was lonely!

Pastor Snow officiated and married our Q and U! (We drew names and Lily and Levi were our Princess and Prince!)

Q and U repeated their vows,

exchanged rings (pops!),

and were pronounced "husband and wife", forever together, to spell lots and lots of QU words!

We all celebrated with wedding cake and punch!

We, the Guests, are all from Alphabet Town!

The cake was delicious and we LOVED blowing our horns!

Congratulations, Q and U!!!

Happy Easter!

We read and acted out the Easter story!

It began on Palm Sunday, when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey!

People waved palm branches and hailed Him as KING!

We made Resurrection cookies. The recipe reminds us of Jesus' death and Resurrection!

We beat the pecans just like Jesus was beaten by Herod's soldiers.

While on the cross, Jesus was given vinegar when He was thirsty, It smells AWFUL!

We tasted salt, as it represents the tears of His followers as He died!

The Gospel (the Good News) is sweet like sugar! Jesus died for us so we may life eternally!

The Resurrection cookies were bright white like the angels at the tomb, and EMPTY, like the tomb!

We celebrated with our "He Is Risen" party!

We played "(Pin)Tape the Tail on Peter Cottontail", frosted and enjoyed Easter cookies,

made fun Easter crafts,

raced with eggs in spoons,

and hunted for Easter eggs in our Library!

What JOY we have in our RISEN LORD! Happy Easter!
