Happy President’s Day!

As our Presidents stepped forward, we sang “Hail to the Chief” and saluted them! This is President Abraham Lincoln!

Our Presidents read Fun Facts about themselves! President James Madison wrote most of our Constitution!

President Ulysses S. Grant loved to race horses!

President Franklin Roosevelt was the first to be on T.V.!

President Calvin Coolidge walked his pet raccoon, Rebecca, on a leash!

President John Adams lost all of his teeth!

President William Howard Taft loved baseball, once got stuck in the bathtub, and after his presidency, became Chief Justice of the Supreme Court!

President Zachary Taylor’s tenure was only 31 days!

President Grover Cleveland’s daughter, Ruth, had Babe Ruth bars named after her!

President Teddy Roosevelt had Teddy Bears named after him!

President William Henry Harrison, our 9th President, had 10 children and 48 grandchildren! One grandchild, Benjamin, was our 23rd President!

President Dwight Eisenhower, from Kansas, loved to golf and paint! Our 4th graders travel to his birthplace (Abilene), annually!

We learned Abraham Lincoln was 6 feet, 4 inches tall! (Without his stovepipe hat!)

Did you know our flag flies on top of the White House when the President is home?

After our reports, we helped decorate our Flag Cake!

It was yummy!

We traced and cut out stars at one of our centers,

and built log cabins! Many early presidents were born in them!

Come read our reports and learn something new about our leaders!

Thank you, God, for our Presidents!  Please lead and guide them and bless the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
